House of Fu, a popular Japanese restaurant that began as a street food pop-up, is now eyeing a new home on Portland Street in Manchester. The restaurant has submitted plans to the Manchester City Council to take over the former Leaf site. House of Fu, which draws inspiration from Tokyo and LA, is set to introduce its Japanese cuisine to Manchester, marking its first expansion beyond its original brick-and-mortar location in Leeds that opened just a year ago.
